The New York Giants and the New England Patriots are on their way to Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

Many fans Fox59 spoke with following Sunday’s games said they are not pleased the Patriots made it to the big game on Sunday, February 5.  However, Indianapolis Colts fans said they are pleased quarterback Peyton Manning’s brother, Giants quarterback Eli Manning, will come to the Circle City.

Several fans said if the Indianapolis Colts could not play in the game, having Eli Manning was the next best thing.

Fox59 asked fans on Facebook who they were rooting for.  As of Monday morning, approximately 55 percent of those who participated in the Facebook poll answered “The Giants, because I hate the Patriots.”  Approximately 28 percent of fans answered, “The Giants, because I’m rooting for a Manning.”

Super Bowl XLVI will be the fifth time the Patriots have made it to a Super Bowl game in 11 years.  Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Eli Manning faced off in 2008’s Super Bowl, ending the Patriots’ perfect season.

Although a majority of Colts fans are upset about the Patriots’ defeat over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night, the win could be a great thing for Indianapolis.

According to a local tourism professor, New England and Giants fans will likely spend major cash in the city.  Boston and New York are two of the biggest, wealthiest cities in the country.
